THE INTERNATIONALISTS / THE PUBLICATION

Terms of Service.

These Terms of Service set out the conditions for using TheInternationalists.org and its published resources. Please read them before using website features or submitting material. They apply to the current independent editorial website. Any additional terms for a particular service must be presented clearly before participation.

TheInternationalists.org provides educational and reference content about international theatre, cross-cultural collaboration, translation, and performance across borders. Its practical resources support research and planning. They do not establish professional advice tailored to your circumstances, eligibility for an opportunity, or permission to use a creative work.

Use the website lawfully and respectfully. You must not introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorised access, bypass security restrictions, disrupt the service through abusive requests, impersonate another person, or use submission features for harassment, unlawful material, or unsolicited promotion. Automated access must not circumvent access controls or interfere with normal operation.

For material owned by TheInternationalists.org, you may read, link to, and print reasonable extracts for personal or educational reference, retaining relevant attribution. Republication, commercial distribution, or other uses requiring permission should be requested through the Contact page. These terms do not restrict uses permitted by applicable law.

Third-party material retains its own rights and conditions. Photographs, scripts, translations, recordings, designs, and archival documents may require separate permission. A specific open licence governs the permissions it grants; these terms do not override those permissions. Consult individual credits and the Image Credits & Permissions policy before reuse.

The current website does not claim that the earlier Internationalists directors’ collective’s productions, members, archives, or institutional relationships belong to this publication. Historical references identify their subjects. The Project History & Independence page explains this distinction.

Submissions must identify their source and your authority to share them. This applies to corrections, photographs, programme records, listing suggestions, and other contributions. Submit only material you are entitled to provide. Avoid sending confidential information or unpublished work without an appropriate arrangement.

Sending material permits its assessment and correspondence about your submission. It does not transfer ownership or automatically authorise public reproduction. Publication requires an agreed permission, an applicable licence, or another valid basis for use. Accepted contributions may be edited within the agreed scope, with appropriate attribution. Submission does not guarantee publication, inclusion, payment, or partnership.

Directory profiles and opportunity summaries provide information about independently operated organisations and programmes. Applications, tickets, participation, payments, and agreements with those organisations are handled by the relevant provider. Confirm its current conditions directly. Our verification labels describe specified checks and do not guarantee suitability, reliability, funding, or acceptance.

Tools and templates require informed use. Where available, estimates and outputs depend on their inputs, assumptions, and methods. Check important results before making financial, travel, production, or administrative commitments. We do not promise particular artistic, professional, or financial outcomes from using general resources.

We aim to maintain accurate information and a useful service, but content may contain errors and availability may be interrupted. Features may be changed or temporarily restricted for maintenance, security, or other legitimate operational reasons. Access restrictions should be proportionate to the issue; significant changes affecting an agreed service should be communicated where reasonably practicable.

External websites have their own terms, content, and privacy practices. A link or reference does not by itself establish endorsement or partnership. Relevant sponsorship, advertising, affiliate relationships, and other commercial interests should be disclosed with the affected material.

Applicable rights and responsibilities remain protected. These terms do not exclude liability for fraud or any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, and they do not remove mandatory consumer rights or access to protected remedies. The Disclaimer explains the intended scope and limitations of our reference content.

Personal information should be provided only as necessary for an inquiry or submission. Its handling should be explained in the Privacy Policy and relevant collection notices. These terms do not constitute consent to unrelated marketing or publication of private correspondence.

Revisions should identify their effective date and provide reasonable notice of material changes where required. Changes apply prospectively and must not retrospectively revoke permissions already granted under an applicable licence or agreement. Questions about these terms, permissions, or website use may be raised through the Contact page.
